During Steve Ballmer’s pre-show keynote address, he demonstrated the features of Avatar Kinect. The most important of which was the fact that Kinect sensors will now be able to track facial expressions. The video was actually quite impressive and shows the life-like features of the avatars. Avatar Kinect will also feature “conference rooms” where users can choose between 15 different settings to hold conversations with their friends. Pretty cool overall and best of all, it will be free for Xbox Gold members!

When they all sat around in the circle, reminds me of people going to those group session for drugs or emotional issues. I don’t see any use of this, except for pervs that will start making inappropriate gesture with their avatar…
