Nintendo says that not all of the 3DS games made will be in mind blowing 3D. In a recent interview with Shigesato Itoi in the latest Iwata Asks where they mentioned this as well as compatibility with DS games. But with the 3DS, Nintendo is letting developers decide whether to use 3D in games, like they let devs decide how much touchscreen to use as well, like what they did with the DS. Shigeru Miyamoto says that it would be too much to expect game developers to start coding in 3D immediately.
Now all that’s left is wait for the 3DS to come out in Japan on February 27 and sometime in March for Europe and North America and also for announcements in Amsterdam and New York on January 19.
