Sony’s Xperia Play, also known as the Playstation Phone is getting a launch window of March and will be available on Verizon before any other carriers. It has yet to have a price pinned on this device but so far it looks like a decent advice. The only thing is that it isn’t officially branded under the PlayStation line. Some of the specs for the device include a 1 GHz Qualcomm CPU, 512 MB of RAM and a MicroSD slot. I’m glad that Sony decided to ditch the idea of using their overpriced Memory Stick and going for the MicroSD, which is much more widely used. This is a good move for Sony along with opening up the PSN Store for PS1 and PS Classics for the Android OS. Hopefully this device can co-exist with their other gaming devices which are the PSP and the NGP
