The Nintendo camp announced plans to integrate Netflix services for their upcoming 3DS at GDC today.
For current Netflix users and future 3DS users, this is certainly good news. Users will essentially be able to Netflix on the go wherever there is an internet connection.
Here is where is gets awesome. Nintendo is in talks with major network providers to set up hotspots for users to access Netflix from their 3DS. The main bonus here is that although many 3DSers won’t be using Netflix, they will still be able to benefit from the WiFi that is said to be everywhere (10000+ hotspots in the U.S.).
Hopefully, the same will be done in Canada. However, I have a feeling that Bell and Rogers are not as friendly towards setups like these as their American counterparts.
