So new CEO Stephen Elop has confirmed that Nokia will be using WP7 on future phones and that they are currently in development. (No surprise really…) What is more relevant is the fact that these WP7 phones are to be released in 2012. This seems like an abnormally long time for a veteran developer like Nokia (and Microsoft to a lesser extent) to make a phone. I guess Windows Phone 7 Nokia hopefuls will have to wait a couple years longer for that to happen. In the meantime, it seems like a hard sell to get new users on to Nokia phones using Symbian as it essentially has a RIP date now.
