New Neo-Geo X Handheld Confirmed

A New Challenger Has Arrived! It’s one of the few times in the gaming industry we see something like this happen. SNK is releasing the Neo-Geo X sometime in Q2 of 2012 and is a limited release as I’m sure this will become a hot item once it’s on the market, especially for retro gamers and collectors. It’s reported to cost as much as £500, so I hope this thing comes down in price once the release date draws closer as £500 is quite a bit of moolah to fork over for a handheld, let alone a console!

  1. Hmm, a retro portable packed with classic games. I only recognize Fatal Fury, King of Fighters, Metal Slug and World Heroes from the list of built-in games. So far, too expensive and no idea if it will come with anymore games or what else it does.

  2. If it was brought down to 1/3 of its current speculated price, then I’d give it a shot. £500 (Approx $800) is way too much for a handheld in 2012, limited production or not.

  3. It looks like a GBA Micro with 3DS buttons and PS Vita makeup. Yes $800 is too much for that, you could buy a PC for that price.
