Nintendo had another Nintendo Direct update for the Wii U. There are two new system updates. One in the spring and one in the summer. These will help system performance for speed and reduce loading times. Returning to the home menus will be faster too.
There will be the Wii U Virtual Console and will be launched after the system update. Games will be playable on the GamePad.
2013 celebrates 30 years of the NES. Nintendo will sell different games on the Virtual Console at $.30 each month. There was also game footage for games like The Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2. Iwata also mentioned games that will be shown at this year’s E3. Some games mentioned were an new Mario Kart, a 3D Mario, a new Yoshi game by the studio that made Kirby’s Epic Yarn, a new party game, Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem crossover, Legend of Zelda Wind Waker HD, a new 3D HD Zelda title and a game from Xenoblade Chronicles (from Monolith Soft).
