This is a bit of a surprise to many people. Nintendo has opted out of hosting a keynote for E3 2012. Instead, Nintendo will host several smaller events targeting software for specific regions. Nintendo will be hosting two events, one for distributors and one for the media.
Instead of the regular keynote presentation, Nintendo will be releasing Nintendo Direct streams to announce region specific news to major markets. This is definitely an interesting way for Nintendo to do things for sure.
