Handheld Game of the Year – Super Smash Bros for 3DS (3DS)
This is one of the easier years for me to choose the handheld Game of the Year. Super Smash Bros is finally portable and is fun to play. Although the controls aren’t perfect (re: circle pad) and the screen is a bit small to play on for this game, especially if you play in an original 3DS. Although with these difficulties, it’s still a fun and good game to play with among friends wither locally or over the internet.
Overall Game of the Year – Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – PC
Although the main campaign came out years ago, Reaper of Souls got me back into actually finishing the campaign and having fun with friends doing raids and rifts. The reason I list only the PC part is that I’d assume that you’d want to play it it on a PC over console. It definitely gave Diablo III a breath of new life. My biggest complaint is still the need for an always on internet connection that does hamper the experience if you have garbage internet or have none at all, it makes the game unplayable. Other than that, its definitely something I’ll be playing for a while longer.
