Netflix is in the early stages of developing a live action series based on the popular and long running video game series of Legend of Zelda. It is still seeking writers and they are aiming for the show to be Game of Thrones-esque but aimed for the family audience.
Netflix will be working closely with Nintendo as Nintendo is very protective of it’s intellectual property as the Zelda animated series only ran for one season in 1989 and the 1993 Super Mario Bros movie was a flop.
