So the major details for the Nintendo Switch got announced:
- March 3, 2017 release in most major regions
- £29,980 in Japan, $299.99 USD, $399.99 CAD. Check local listings for Europe.
- Online multiplayer is available, but there will be a trial period until Fall 2017 and will be a paid service
- The Switch is region free
- Three modes: TV Mode in dock, Tabletop mode with the kickstand out and Handheld mode with the JoyCons attached
- Capacitative touch screen
- Up to 8 players for local wireless play
- 2.5-6.5 hours of use
- JoyCon Grip standard for TV Play
- Package includes: Nintendo Switch, Left and Right JoyCons, wrist straps, JoyCon Grip, HDMI, dock and AC adapter
- Switch can be charged with USB-C cable
- Will come in an all grey unit and red and blue JoyCon. Will be priced the same
- HD Rumble/Haptic Feedback in JoyCon
- 1 2 Switch – mini-games played while facing opponent (gun duel, sword fight, etc.) March 3 release
- ARMS – boxing and shooting punches
- Players will need 2 JoyCons each
- Tilt to move character, online battles, available Spring 2017
- Splatoon 2
- New weapons and maps, some can be used to propel player off ground
- JoyCons, Pro Controller and gyro controllers can be used to play
- TV and Handheld play available
- Online and Local Multiplayer available when launched Summer 2017
- In-game updates and events are planned
- Super Mario Odyssey – Holiday 2017
- Basically Mario Sandbox, uses some familiar and real world landscapes
