At CES this year, Tactus demonstrated the first tactile touchscreen implemented on a standard android tablet. They use a technology called “micro-fluidics” to raise and lower the buttons. Not necessarily game changing as it only offers a preset tactile keyboard but is still really cool nonetheless. Here is an older video from Tactus describing this technology. No hardware partners announced but they expect to ship the first tactile touchscreen phone later this year.
In this episode, Harley and I talk about Disney acquiring LucasFilm and it’s subsidiaries, Nexus 4 & 10, the new iPads and the imminent release of the Wii U.
Well it’s no surprise that it would happen, but the iPad Mini has been announced with the price tag of $329.99. There will be iPad Mini Smart Covers available for it as well. With the small theme in mind, the 13″ MacBook Pro will now feaure a 2500×1600 resolution IPS screen and 29% better contrast ratio. Continue reading
